Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Students,

As the school year comes to a close, I find myself filled with both pride and deep gratitude. What an incredible journey we've had together! This year has been marked by growth, resilience, laughter, and countless achievements-and yes, even one unforgettable moment involving duct tape.

Ending the year literally stuck to the wall was the perfect (slightly sticky) reminder of what makes this community so special. We set bold goals, supported one another, and celebrated every milestone--big and small--with joy and enthusiasm. I am so proud of what we've accomplished together and the spirit of teamwork and determination that lives in our small community.

As I prepare to say goodbye, I want to thank each of you--students, staff, and families--for allowing me the honor of serving as your principal. It has been a privilege to witness the incredible learning, leadership, and care that thrives here at HMK. I will carry the memories and relationships from this school with me always.

Looking ahead, I am excited to introduce and welcome your new principal, Holly Harris. She brings a wealth of experience, a deep love for students, and a strong commitment to continue the great work that we've started. I have confidence that under her leadership, HMK will continue to flourish and grow in amazing ways.

Thank you again for a wonderful, successful two-years. I leave with a full heart and best wishes for this beautiful community. May you all have a restful summer and continued success!

Student Pick Up and Drop Off Update for HMK and Back to School Night

Please see the graphic for important information regarding student pick up and drop off as well as how students will navigate the exterior of HMK with construction.

Back to School Night will be on August 19th. If your last name begins with A-M, your time slot will be 5:30-6:30. If your last name begins with N-Z, your time slot will be 6:30-7:30. These time slots are regardless of grade level. The evening will start off in the gym and then families will be able to tour the school and visit with teachers and classrooms.
