Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Students,

As the school year comes to a close, I find myself filled with both pride and deep gratitude. What an incredible journey we've had together! This year has been marked by growth, resilience, laughter, and countless achievements-and yes, even one unforgettable moment involving duct tape.

Ending the year literally stuck to the wall was the perfect (slightly sticky) reminder of what makes this community so special. We set bold goals, supported one another, and celebrated every milestone--big and small--with joy and enthusiasm. I am so proud of what we've accomplished together and the spirit of teamwork and determination that lives in our small community.

As I prepare to say goodbye, I want to thank each of you--students, staff, and families--for allowing me the honor of serving as your principal. It has been a privilege to witness the incredible learning, leadership, and care that thrives here at HMK. I will carry the memories and relationships from this school with me always.

Looking ahead, I am excited to introduce and welcome your new principal, Holly Harris. She brings a wealth of experience, a deep love for students, and a strong commitment to continue the great work that we've started. I have confidence that under her leadership, HMK will continue to flourish and grow in amazing ways.

Thank you again for a wonderful, successful two-years. I leave with a full heart and best wishes for this beautiful community. May you all have a restful summer and continued success!

Meet and Greet

Come meet the new HMK Principal at a Meet and Greet on June 9th.

June Menu - Summer Lunch Program

See the menu for meals for our Summer Lunch Program for the month of June. Keep in mind that meals for Saturday and Sunday will be provided on Friday during lunch for pick up. *NOTE* This is available for any child under the age of 18 years old in Grand County - the child does not need to be a GCSD student and there is no need income restriction.

Powerschool Registration for 25-26 Opens July 1st

Last year's rollout of Powerschool registration had many issues that we want to address and fix before opening enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year. We are working to get this done as soon as possible and have plans for registration to open July 1. Thank you to everyone for sharing your feedback so we can ensure this is a smoother process going forward.
