** New Meal Pick-Up Location** HMK 11:00 - 12:30 ONLY June 1 - June 30

Due to the end of the traditional school year, buses will no longer be delivering meals to students. The last day of bus service will be Thursday, May 28th. Beginning Monday, June 1, meals will be available to ALL CHILDREN 18 AND UNDER at HMK. A drive-thru service will be set up in the loop at the front of HMK to allow families to pick up their meals while safely remaining in their vehicles. Breakfast and lunch will be served to each child. CHILDREN DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO PICK UP MEALS. Please identify how many children you are requesting meals for when you arrive at HMK.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration will be completed online beginning June 8th. Office hours will be 8:00-3:00 Monday –Thursday if you need help with registration or have any questions. If your student has attended Sundwall -Grand Preschool, he/she will have a student ID number and needs to be registered as an existing student. After registration is completed, parents/guardians must bring a birth certificate and completed immunizations to the K-3 office.

Grand County School District Retirees 2019-2020

Due to the suspension of school with the COVID-19 outbreak, we were unable to say thank you and goodbye to a special group - our longtime employees who are leaving us at the end of this year. It is with much appreciation that the Grand County School District would like to offer this special recognition for these retirees. Thank you for your service to our district, your friendship, and the dedication that you have shown toward our students. You will be greatly missed but we wish you a wonderful new beginning with your retirement!

Utah schools will remain physically closed to end of school year

Today the Governor announced that school is officially closed for the rest of the school year. GCSD staff will continue to provide digital learning as they have been doing since March 16 until the last day of school May 29. We will be unable to hold traditional graduation activities, but are actively pursuing alternate graduation activities. The high school will publish a schedule of alternate graduation activities as soon as one is available.

Meal Instructions

Parents please note that in order to do a variety of meals, a few of the meals that will need to be reheated. They are cooked according to the food safety requirements and quickly chilled. So you should reheat them either in your microwave, some settings have a reheat and most microwaves have different watts so cook accordingly to your microwave. You may also reheat the meat or potato wedges on the stove or in the oven. You can reheat at 350 degrees in a conventional oven for 10-15 minutes, just keep an eye out not to overcook.

Free Breakfast and Lunch for All

Good Afternoon GCSD Community, 

Beginning Monday, April 13, free breakfast and lunch will be served to all children aged 0-18 years old in the Grand County community. We have received word that our breakfast and lunch program is now being federally funded like our summer lunch program. Lunch will continue to be distributed this week. No meals will be distributed next week as it is spring break for the District. 

We at GCSD know how important this is to our community and we are excited to continue to provide school meal delivery to all our kids.

Reminder - Spring Break Next Week

This is friendly reminder that next week is spring break so there will be no classwork assigned and no meals delivered. Breakfast and lunch will be served starting on April 13th. Here are some other lunch options for next week from Youth Garden Project and Moab Valley Multicultural Center. We hope you all have a restful break.
